A flat harness uses a film of adhesive to retain and protect wires and components during assembly. The result is a low-profile, flexible harness designed as a direct replacement for a conventional harness bundle.
How it works
A film of adhesive retains wires and components during assembly. A capping layer is then added to complete the harness, and the finished outline is cut to shape.
Protective materials such as NVH tape or stiffening material can be positioned in the machine with the adhesive side ready for automated assembly.
