We’re excited to announce the delivery of our CY10W robotic wire harness manufacturing platform to the Manufacturing Technology Centre (MTC) in Coventry and the achievement of CE marking!

A close up of a registration plate for CY10W showing CE markingCE marking is a major step forward for our gantry robot, designed with a large, rigid frame, and equipped with high-speed, high-accuracy motion components. Our team has developed the mainboard, firmware, and electrical systems to ensure seamless integration of a full suite of feedback and monitoring sensors with the motion components. Achieving this certification has been in progress since the concept was first proposed in 2022.

The delivery to MTC marks the first step towards a pilot production line. This will focus on factory integration, secure operation, and operator training. Over the past year, we’ve made significant strides in simplifying the software design toolchain for wiring looms, ready for automated assembly.

At MTC, the CY10W will be part of a robot cell, where they’ll independently demonstrate automated part loading and harness production. Exciting events will take place at MTC, where visitors can see the machine in action and witness live demonstrations.
